The 4th Annual Run for the Reef 5K saw the highest participation level yet with 317 registered participants and almost all registrants showing up to participate in this year’s event. It was a gorgeous panhandle day. Participants enjoyed perfect fall morning weather, and great sunshine for the after party on the pier deck, with plenty of food and drink.

Local artist Kelley Grace, who designed the race shirts for two years now, was on hand to sign runner’s shirts. Two original prints of the 2011 and 2012 Race Shirt artwork were auctioned off during the after party at a silent auction.

The quilt raffle was quite the hit at the after party also, as a lucky winner took home the beautiful quilt hand made and donated by Lenore Nicholson.

Technical difficulties with the scoring delayed the announcement of the results. Some results were not able to be provided by the end of the event and will be posted here and on active.com after they are complete. Participants that won an award and not able to receive it may view the results for their award listing, and pick it up next week starting Monday October 15 at the Navarre Visitor Information Center VIC). We apologize for the delay and any inconvenience. The awards will be available at the VIC through Saturday October 20.
