We had a good looking booth at Fun Fest this weekend.  We provided the public a lot of good information about the efforts to place snorkeling and diving reefs at Navarre Beach on the Gulf and Sound Sides.  The Navarre High School Marine Science Department hosted a touch tank in our booth and the kids loved it.  We raised a little money from donations too.  Here’s some pics from the event.

Thanks to all those that helped man the booth, set up and break down.  Thank you to the Navarre High Science Students for the touch tank – you guys were great.

Hello All -   Fun Fest is fast approaching!

****THANKS TO ALL THAT HAVE HELPED AND WILL BE HELPING WITH OUR PRESENCE AT FUN FEST***

We’ll be setting up our booth Friday May 15th 4 PM – 7 PM.  We only have one vehicle pass  so you will not be allowed to park in the parking lot where the event will be held (behind Cocodries).   Those coming to help set up Friday should park in the boat launch parking lot across the street  from the Pier (north side of Gulf Blvd).

We’re arranging with Charlene Mauro Fearon to pick up the touch tanks and will coordinate with Kenny and Dale Wilder to pick up the tables we’ll need.  A truck will arrive at the Fun Fest site with the set up materials  Friday at 4:00 PM and get our booth assignment.  Our booth will be located in the pier/park parking lot South West of the Cocodries parking lot just south of where the food Vendors will be set up.

If you can come help us set up Friday  between anytime between 4 and 7  PM please come on out (just remember to park in the boat ramp lot and walk over).   We’ll likely finish setting up before 7 (more like 5:30 or 6)

We should have a great turnout for Fun Fest so please come on out and kibitz with us at the booth during the weekend even if you are not signed up to work the booth.  We’ll be herding folks through the touch tanks,  providing information about the snorkeling and diving reefs, and of course collecting donations.

We’ll also have some Sea grass Awareness wrist bands to hand out and hopefully some ‘Make Navarre Snorkelicious’ bumper stickers (I’m going by the printer today –let’s hope they come in on time and look good).

Below is the booth manning schedule for the weekend.   The Navarre High School Marine Science Club Students will be there throughout the event maintaining the touch tanks.
Remember to park inland and take the shuttle or park in the boat ramp parking lot.

NO PARKING WILL BE ALLOWED INSIDE THE WESTERN BEACH PARK PARKING LOT.
