The Navarre Beach Marine Sanctuary Committee’s plans for the Reef Sponsorship Program won’t be officially unveiled until after the Impact 100 Grant Winners have been decided in October.    Even so – the program has generated early interests.   Three companies or individuals have already stepped up to the plate to make pledges of support:

Nancy Sandler, Co-Chair of the Navarre Beach Marine Sanctuary Committee and Mike Sandler also on the Marine Sanctuary Committee will make a presentation about the progress and plans of  Marine Sanctuary Program at the Navarre Library.    Mark your calendars for  Tuesday, July 27th at 5:30 pm.

The Sandler’s will present status and progress to date of the efforts to bring near shore reefs to Navarre Beach, upcoming events  involving the Sanctuary Committee and information on you can become involved and keep informed.

The public is invited to come and learn how we are helping to Make Navarre Snorkelicious!

The Race Committee needs volunteers to take charge of a planning and execution of the various things that need to get done to put on the Run for the Reef 5K on October 10th.  The list below are the areas where we need a volunteer to take charge.

1. Post-Race Refreshments Coordinator
2. Registration Coordinator (Filled  – Nancy Sandler)
3. Course Director
4. Results Coordinator
5. Finish Line Coordinator
6. Start Line Coordinator
7. Aid Station Coordinator
8. T-Shirt/Amenities/Awards Coordinator

We have checklists and other information regarding what needs to be done when  – in some cases a lot of the work is already done or planned.   What we need are some folks to step up and help by taking responsibility in one of these areas for getting things done prior to the race and on race day.

This is a great way to get involved and informed about the Marine Sanctuary and the help Make Navarre Snorkelicious.
